Frequently asked questions

What is youvegotmail.club?

A club built around sending and receiving a surprise in the mailbox.

Do I need an account to exchange?

Yes. You need an account on this club to request an address, receive assignments and register items. An account on another club website does not automatically create an account here.

What should I send?

Send a physical postal surprise to the assigned member and write the exchange ID on the envelope. The contents must comply with the Terms and postal rules for both countries.

How does an exchange work?

Request an address on the sending page. The system assigns an eligible member; you send the required item and include the exchange ID. When the recipient registers its arrival, you become eligible to receive an item from another member. The person you send to is not necessarily the person who sends to you.

Who pays for postage?

Each sender pays the postage and packaging for the item they send. Check any customs or import rules that apply to the destination before mailing.

Can I choose the recipient?

No. The system selects an eligible member using the rules of this club. You cannot request a particular person or country, although any available geographic or theme preferences may influence matching.

Where can I find the exchange ID?

The ID is shown after you request an address and remains available in your exchange records. Write it clearly on the postcard or include it with the items in the envelope so the recipient can register the exchange.

When will I receive something?

After your outgoing exchange is registered by its recipient, you can be assigned as a recipient for another member. Delivery and registration depend on the members and postal services involved, so an exact arrival date cannot be guaranteed.

How many exchanges can I have in progress?

The limit depends on your exchange history, account status and the rules of this club. The sending page shows whether you can request another address. Unresolved exchanges or an account restriction may reduce the available limit.

What if an item is delayed or lost?

Postal delivery can take longer than expected. An exchange that remains unregistered is marked as expired after the club expiration period, currently 3 months. An expired exchange can still be registered if it arrives later. The club cannot guarantee delivery or replace a lost item.

Can I pause incoming exchanges?

Yes. Use the option to stop assigning your address for new exchanges in your exchange settings. This does not cancel an address already given to another member.

What can I put in the surprise?

Choose something suitable for the recipient and safe and lawful to mail. Do not send money, dangerous items, prohibited goods or anything the postal service will not accept.

How can I get help?

Signed-in members can use the Contact page. Anyone, including visitors without an account, can email admin@youvegotmail.club.
