Surprises in
the Mailbox.

I put together a surprise for someone in India and when I went to the post office to drop it off they informed me that the US and India currently do not accept mail from each other. On the Postcrossing webpage they have what I assume an accurate list of countries that are not accepting mail from each other. At the time I'm writing this (21 May 2020) the USA isn't sending mail to 108 countries. Germany has 111 countries on it's do-not-send list. Sweden has 185. And India has 247!!! I think that's pretty much all the countries. Italy has 73 and Russia 26. I tried to list the six countries with the most members on this site. If you want to see the lists I am referring to, go to Postcrossing and go to "Explore" and then "Postal Monitor". I cancelled the surprise to the person in India. Sorry to whoever you are. I wish I could send it.

I have changed the system and you can now cancel one letter every 30 days.

Had another address given to me for an address in a country the USA does not currently send any mail to. As I cancelled the surprise to India in my message above, I am unable to cancel this one. Only one cancellation allowed every 90 days? So the person in Brunei can't receive my surprise because the post office will not accept it into the mail. Very sorry. (The website says there is only one member in Brunei so you'll know who you are if you read this.) If a site administrator sees this message and can cancel US-118 for me. I would appreciate it. I cannot mail it and would like to get another address I can send to, please. Thanks.
